One Year Foundation Course

The Academy offers a one year Foundation Course for students wishing to enter our three year ISTD Teacher Training Programme.

The course will endeavour to provide the necessary training to reach the required standard for the FDI & CDE teaching qualifications.

Subjects studied are: ISTD Classical Ballet, ISTD Modern, ISTD Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Pilates, Musical Theatre.

Students must be a minimum age of 16 (in the year of entry) to audition for the Foundation Course.

In order to be considered for the three year Teacher Training Programme students must complete the Intermediate dance examinations in ISTD Classical Ballet, ISTD Modern and ISTD Tap by the end of the one year Foundation Course.

The course runs on a part-time basis Monday to Wednesday 8.30am to 3.30pm.

Auditions are held at various times throughout the year and places are strictly limited.

There is a fee structure list enclosed with this prospectus which highlights all costs incurred during the course.
