Dance

Innovation, creativity and passion are key elements of our dance courses.

Whether it’s a 3 year old trying out their first class or a 19 year old thinking about a career as a dancer, we are confident you will enjoy being part of our vibrant and exciting school.

At the heart of the NAPA’s dance department are 3 main subject areas: Ballet, Tap, and Modern which all follow the ISTD syllabus. We offer regular opportunities to take part in examinations which gives students a chance to gain nationally-recognised dance qualifications. In addition, NAPA also offers classes such as Contemporary, Pop, Commercial, Limbering, and GCSE/A level Dance.

When you are not working towards an exam you may be rehearsing for one of the many shows NAPA stages each year, or a public event that NAPA has been asked to take part in, or perhaps even mastering a routine for a dance festival. NAPA likes to keep students busy and give them as many opportunities to perform as we can, developing not only their dance techniques but also their stage craft.

The faculty of tutors, led by Julie Lovewell call on their own training and experiences in the professional world to ensure every student gets the most out of their time at NAPA. You will be constantly challenged and encouraged to aim for the highest standards.
