The Northern Theatre Company was established in 1975.  Its aim was to bring new and exciting theatre to the city of Hull and the surrounding area. 30 years on, the company is going from strength to strength and from it has grown The Northern Academy of Performing Arts. Offering over 40 classes and courses in all areas of the performing arts, it is now the most comprehensive training facility in the North East of England.

The college runs classes in everything from Costume Design to Tai Chi, Street Dance to Stage Combat, alongside nearly every discipline of dance, drama and musical theatre.
