VACANCY: Drama teacher
We are looking for a self-employed drama teacher to join our exciting and vibrant academy.
We have been providing high-quality performing arts tuition at our city centre site for over almost 20 years and a position has become available within our dynamic team.
The successful applicant will be an inspirational and experienced drama teacher. The role will include:
*Preparation and delivery of weekly sessions aimed at the following age groups: 3-7 years, 7-11 years, 12-16 years and adult sessions.
*Knowledge of the LAMDA syllabus.
*Lesson frameworks will be provided but your creative input is essential!
*Lessons to include performance work/rehearsals and technique/skills building.
*Outreach work in local primary schools – with the opportunity of more daytime work to be added throughout the academic year.
The contract is for 12 core hours per week with the opportunity to teach evening one to one private drama lessons as an addition.
Core hours are, currently: Monday evening – 2.5 hrs, Tuesday evening – 1 hr, Wednesday evening – 2 hrs, Thursday afternoon – 3.5 hours, Saturday daytime – 3 hrs. You may be required to work some extra hours at weekends when staging drama performances in the NAPA theatre.
Hourly rates of pay dependent upon experience.
Post to start on Monday 19th October until July 24th 2021 (term time only).
As part of the application process you’ll be required to teach a short section of a lesson at NAPA and attend an interview.
