A regionally significant drama school and educational charity, NAPA -The Northern Academy of Performing Arts– delivers exceptional training to a range of demographics across the Hull and Humber area. NAPA’s core aim is to change and enrich lives through performing arts activities, regardless of social or financial background. The charity is at an exciting time in its evolution, expanding its offer in quality vocational arts training and developing muti-skilled creative artists. NAPA provides full-time post 16 education courses; evening and weekend extracurricular classes in Acting, Musical Theatre and Dance; and an innovative outreach programme in primary schools across the region reaching over 2000 pupils.
The Role
We are looking for a creative and inspirational teacher of Performing Arts. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of our post 16 offer. This includes preparing and delivering high quality training and assessment to our students across Level 3 and Level 4 courses, taking a pastoral role for a cohort of students, and creating public work as part of the curriculum: alongside some 16 + extracurricular classes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong degree in a related subject, be an outstanding practitioner in their own right and have significant industry links and experience. The role will suit someone with a broad range of skills across the Performing Arts but with a particular focus on Acting and Musical Theatre. You will have a good understanding of the pathways for our students in terms of higher education and direct industry employment.

This is a fixed term, part time role, working across 3 days (24 hours) per week (0.6 FTE) until August 2026. Salary negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
