Audition for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The Northern Academy of Performing Arts in Hull is offering young performers the amazing opportunity to star in a production of this children’s play at NAPA in January of 2027. Please note, you must be enrolled into core classes to take part in this enrichment class.

Welcome, young actors, to the wonderful, wacky and completely extraordinary world of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!
I am so excited to invite you to audition for what is going to be a spectacular production filled with imagination, laughter, mischief, magic and, of course… LOTS of chocolate!
Your audition material can be found alongside the parts you are interested in. Have a good read, learn your lines and, most importantly, bring the character to life!
For your audition, I want to see a taste of what you can do. Don’t just say the words — show me who your character is. Are they loud? Shy? Bossy? Bonkers? Greedy? Curious? Completely eccentric? Go BIG! I want bold choices, huge personalities, brilliant facial expressions and characters that leap off the page.
Remember, there is no need to be perfect. I want to see your imagination, confidence and creativity.
So, have fun, be brave, make some big choices and give it everything you’ve got!

The rehearsals will be Tuesdays 7.00pm – 8.30pm.
Starting Tuesday 29th September – (Additional rehearsals may be scheduled with prior notice.)
