Premises Assistant- 2025 / 2026 Academic Year

£15,120.00 (actual salary)

Part Time – 24 hours per week.

1 year fixed term agreement, with potential to extend.

Term time only. (39 Weeks of term plus, 1 week preparation)

Working Pattern (Term Time)

Monday:            8am – 2pm

Tuesday:           8am – 2pm

Wednesday:      8am – 2pm

Thursday:         8am – 2pm

 

Our Organisation

A regionally significant drama school and educational charity, NAPA -The Northern Academy of Performing Arts– delivers exceptional training to a range of demographics across the Hull and Humber area.  NAPA’s core aim is to change and enrich lives through performing arts activities, regardless of social or financial background. NAPA provides full-time post 16 education courses; evening and weekend extracurricular classes in Acting, Musical Theatre and Dance at our Grade 2* listed building; and an innovative outreach programme in primary schools across the region.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Premises Assistant. This newly created role is designed to support NAPAs Director of Operations and Director of Education in maintaining and caring for our site. This is a varied position that involves a wide range of daily and weekly tasks. As part of a dedicated and collaborative team, you will play a key role in contributing to the smooth operation and ongoing success of our Charity. Flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to adjust your working hours to meet the changing needs of the academy. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in building maintenance or a trade such as painting and decorating, joinery, or similar.

 Your duties will include:                                                                                                

  • Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring the exterior of the site is in a clean, tidy and reasonable state of repair,
  • Assisting with regular health and safety & admin tasks.
  • Assisting the cleaning team where needed.
  • Manual Handling, receiving deliveries, moving furniture and equipment.
